WWE’s deal with Saudi Arabia is set to last for another 8 1/2 years, but WWE’s move to the Fox Network might make things difficult for that partnership.

SmackDown is moving to Fox on Fridays in October. This is a deal that was set up last year, but Saudi Arabia is requesting Friday shows as well. This could be an issue.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that since Fox has the blue brand on Fridays and Saudi Arabia has requested the same day of the week for their future shows, then WWE might need to figure something out.

Right now for 11/1, the WWE has a listing for a FOX show from Newark, NJ and a show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and King Saad University Stadium. So that would either mean split crews or they’d have to change the Saudi date

WWE’s next Saudi Arabia date is set for November 1st. Of course, that can always change if Saudi Arabia requests it to be moved as they did with the Super ShowDown, but it might not totally fix their problem.

Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
