While Paige may no longer be cleared to actually compete in a WWE ring, she’s still a big part of the roster – which will probably be the case for many years to come.

The former Divas Champion aligned herself with The Kabuki Warriors a while back, and ever since then, it’s felt like they’ve been steadily gaining some momentum as they go in search of the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Now, it seems as if they’re closer than they have been in a long time, after making their presence felt on SmackDown Live last night.

Asuka & Kairi Sane, who make up The Kabuki Warriors, will be taking on The IIconics in Tokyo, Japan next week. If they are able to get the win, they’ll have earned the right to challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

There are still a few hurdles for them to jump through before we can dub them the champions elect, but even with that being the case, it certainly seems as if they’re on the right track.

Peyton Royce & Billie Kay haven’t really been booked in the strongest of ways since becoming champions back at WrestleMania 35, but even with that being the case, it feels like this is going to be a big time, worthwhile match.

The titles still feel fresh enough to the point where a title change would seem like an important step forward, and even if the titles don’t change, this is a great challenge for The IIconics to prove that they belong on the big stage.
