Maria Kanellis and her husband Mike Kanellis recently signed new five-year deals with WWE which will see them making much better money. This is something they fought for and deserve after so many years in the business, however, some fans are still calling Maria out for complaining. This is not okay in her book.

The former TNA Knockouts Champion recently fired off on Twitter to establish a difference between “complaining” and “fighting for what you believe in.” She called out the gender inequality issue of it all as well.

As a female it’s called complaining. As a male, it’s called fighting for what you believe in. I think that’s a bit annoying. Women should be able to speak their mind. Our opinions should be valid. #DIVA

While using the hashtag DIVA, Maria Kanellis also brought everything around to how she is still not ashamed of that moniker.

Maria has experienced WWE during two drastically different points in the company’s history and will now see what it is like for another five years as well even if she has to keep fighting for what she believes in every step of the way.
