Welcome to Ringside News’ SmackDown Live results. This will be a big show and as a great man once said only time will tell what will happen tonight! This is going to be fun and it all starts at 8:00 PM EST. So check back then and we’ll get going as the show kicks off.

The WWE 24/7 Title was introduced last night on RAW. So you never know if R-Truth will have to defend it or whether he will be playing some kind of hide and seek game all night.

Roman Reigns is set to face Elias. They might just have a longer match tonight than they did at Money In The Bank, or at least we would think so.

Kofi Kingston is still WWE Champion after taking down Kevin Owens at Money In The Bank. His next challenger might make a move tonight or he could just be waiting for Brock Lesnar to make his big decision next week.

One thing we do know is that Big E is back from his injury! So there will be a huge celebration going on with The New Day.

Bayley will also address the WWE Universe following her big win at Money In The Bank.

All of the confirmed segments for tonight’s show includes:

  • Roman Reigns vs. Elias
  • Sami Zayn vs. Kofi Kingston
  • Bayley and Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair and Lacey Evans
  • Mandy Rose vs. Carmella
  • Bayley’s first interview as Smackdown Women’s Champion
  • New Day’s “Welcome Back Big E.” celebration

Opening Segment

Elias and Shane McMahon were backstage. Shane said he’ll be in Elias’ corner when he faces Roman Reigns.

The New Day’s music hit and they announced the return of Big E and everyone was very happy. They brought him out in a sheet and then they revealed someone who was not Big E at all.

They asked who he was and told him to get his ass out of there. So the fake E left. Then Kofi introduced Big E again and he actually came out this time after giving his famous intro from backstage. It’s been six weeks, but BIG E IS BACK.

The ring was also made up to look like a blue and pink birthday party with big letters spelling “WELCOME BACK BIG E” cross the apron. They really went all out with the decorations.

Big E said he missed his boys and the WWE Universe. Everyone was happy to have E back. Woods said that E’s been killing it on Twitter and they made joke about Becky Lynch’s mom being taken and how fine she is.

They hyped the Money In The Bank success of Kofi beating Kevin Owens, then Kingston said it’s not about him, it’s about Big E… then Owens came out to break up the party followed by Sami Zayn.

Sami complained about Big E being out six weeks and getting a party, but he was out for 9 months. Then the New Day said they were getting Zayn nothing which they sang like a barbershop quartet.

Kevin Owens left while disgusted with the whole thing. Sami railed on the New Day and how it’s disgusting how Woods, Kofi, and E entertains the people. Woods started playing his trombone and Zayn said he is going to beat Kofi in front of all the “trash people.” He said things aren’t going to end well.

Then Kingston said he’s going to walk right through Sami Zayn and they closed out the segment with a “New Day Rocks” chant from the crowd.

Carmella was backstage looking for R-Truth. She asked some people and they were looking for him too. She eventually found him wearing a bad wig. Carmella had to remind R-Truth of the 24/7 Title rules. Truth said he needs her help and she promised to hide him.

Ali vs Andrade

These two battled just days after taking a ton of abuse in the MITB ladder match. The two traded moved and then Ali nailed a reverse Franeksteiner that rocked Andrade until the former NXT Champion later returned fire with a still lariat.

They carried on as these two warriors tore at each other. Andrade hit a Three Amigos as a tribute to Eddie Guerrero and finished it up with a body slam into the turnbuckle.

They took the action to the outside where Ali took a shot to the post and the barricade and then Andrade heaved Ali into the timekeeper’s area. The announcers were hyping Andrade’s match against Finn Balor at Super ShowDown the entire time.

Ali barely made it back to the ring before the referee counted to 10 and Charles Robinson proved why he’s the best referee WWE has right now.

Then Andrade nailed a running double knees to the back of Ali’s head for a two count. Ali wouldn’t stay down and his back was taped up from his MITB war two nights before.

Then Ali got a roll-up pin and won the match.

Winner: Ali

They went backstage were Mella was doing Truth up like a lady and she said: “RuPaul would be so proud.” Come through, Truth.

Then Mella helped R-Truth put on his bra to complete the ensemble. Yep, that happened.

Mandy Rose vs Carmella

R-Truth walked Mella to the ring while wearing a wig. It didn’t take long for the entire undercard in WWE to charge the ring causing Truth to run through the ring causing a DQ.

Truth grabbed Mella and she rode on his back on the way out of the arena as everyone chased them through the crowd. Corey Graves couldn’t help himself from laghing uncontrollably when they cut back to the desk.

Kayla Braxton interviewed Bayley backstage and The Hugger talked about the brutal night at MITB, but she would do it again in a heartbeat. She said people doubted her and she made it impossible to doubt her at MITB.

Braxton said what people need to know about Bayley the champion as opposed to Bayley the Hugger and she made up some answer about bringing her best.

Then they showed R-Truth and Carmella running some more backstage with Drake Maverick behind everyone. Sami Zayn just sat back and watched them run by because he apparently had no interest in that new gimmick belt.

Elias was playing his guitar in the parking lot of the Dunkin Doughnuts Center and then they went back to the ring for a match.

Kofi Kingston vs Sami Zayn

They showed Big E backstage and he was down and holding his knee. He said “Owens” and everyone rushed around him to take care of E, but Kofi Kingston had to go out for his match.

Kofi was pissed and he took it out on Zayn in a big way. He beat Zayn around the ring and then once they got back in the squared circle, Sami lifted Kofi over the top rope and he went crashing to the floor.

Then Zayn threw Kofi into the steel ring steps before jumping and applauding his actions. They returned to the ring and Zayn continued his assault before Kofi mounted a comeback.

Kofi dodged a Helluva Kick and then he Sami dodged a Trouble In Paradise until Kingston hit the second try and won the match.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

As Kofi was celebrating, Paul Heyman walked out with the Money In The Bank and he teased Kofi until DOLPH ZIGGLER jumped Kofi and took him to the woodshed!

Elias sang Roman Reigns a song in the parking lot.

Lacey Evans and Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch & Bayley

Bayley and Becky worked well together and took down the heels before having a little talk about what to do next. Then Bayley and Charlotte continued.

Fun fact: 3 of the 4 Horsewomen are in this match… wonder who’s missing. Maybe Lacey Evans can be the new Horsewoman now that Sasha Banks is apparently still on her hiatus.

Flair soon took control over Bayley and Evans got the tag where she roughed up Bayley for a bit before tagging Flair back in.

Lynch couldn’t make the tag in because Flair pulled her off the apron. Then she returned to the ring to continue the assault on Bayley. Then Bayley dropped Flair with a clothesline and crawled to The Man where Flair finally got in the match.

Becky hit a dropkick from the top and took out Evans before kicking Flair from the apron and hitting a diving forearm from the middle rope. She hit a Becksploder Suplex, but Flair was able to fire back just in time for Flair to hit a big boot.

Then Bayley took a tag and rolled Flair up for the win.

Winners: Bayley & Becky Lynch

Truth and Carmella were still running backstage. He took out Jinder Mahal and then The B Team fought over who got to tag him, but Truth fought them off too before running away.

Dolph Ziggler was asked why he attacked Kofi Kingston and he said that they deserve and answer and he went out with a microphone to the crowd. Dolph said that he would boo himself too. He said that when Kofi stepped up and knocked it out of the park it should have been Ziggler.

Roman Reigns vs Elias

Shane was in Elias’ corner and kept trying to interfere. Then Roman amped up and mounted a come back. He geared up for a Superman Punch, but Shane distracted him again.

Elias nailed a leaping knee and then Reigns fought back with a right hand before hoisting Elias to the top rope where Roman climbed up, but Elias countered into a seated powerbomb.

They started trading punches and then Roman nailed a Superman Punch for a two count as Shane put Elias’ foot on the bottom rope. Roman wasn’t happy and he ran around to hit McMahon with a driveby.

Elias jumped Reigns and bounced him off the ring post and the steps before going back in to climb up top and hit an elbow drop for a two count.

Shane gave Elias his guitar, but Roman nailed a spear and won the match.

Winner: Roman Reigns

Shane McMahon jumped in and attacked Roman before picking up Elias’ guitar. Just as Shane was about to nail Reigns, he fired off a Superman Punch. Then Roman picked up the guitar and backed Shane into the corner.

Suddenly, Drew McIntyre jumped in the ring and nailed a Claymore Kick to reigns to level him.

SmackDown Live ended with the crowd booking over McIntyre’s music as he and Shane McMahon celebrated over a fallen Roman Reigns.
