As seen on Sky Bet, the betting odds on Brock Lesnar becoming the next Universal Champion have been released.

Last night Brock Lesnar shocked the WWE Universe by capturing the Money in the Bank briefcase. He did so in what was an unscheduled appearance, and he did so in the wake of his retirement from mixed martial arts.

The expectation was that he’d return at the upcoming Saudi Arabia show in order to get his Universal Championship rematch against Seth Rollins, and now, it appears as if that match is going to be booked courtesy of the briefcase – or is it?

In terms of the odds themselves, Brock Lesnar is the 1/1 favourite to become the next Universal Champion. That won’t come as much of a shock given he now holds the briefcase, but it still serves as a worrying sign for the rest of the potential contenders for the belt.

Drew McIntyre is the second favourite at 4/1, followed by AJ Styles at 5/1. Given that The Phenomenal One lost against Seth last night, it doesn’t seem all too likely that he’s going to get a rematch anytime soon.

Nobody can deny that Lesnar draws ratings which is quite clearly what WWE is after, and as a direct result of this, we can probably expect a slight boost in the viewership for Monday Night RAW.

Either way Seth Rollins had better watch out, because there’s a very good chance his days with the title are numbered now that The Beast Incarnate is back in town.
