Welcome to Ringside News results for Money In The Bank 2019.

If you’re like me, you might be a little shocked when you remember this is the first PPV since WrestleMania. The showcase of the immortals seems like quite a while ago and a lot has changed in WWE. Another Superstar Shake-Up happened, then kind of un-happened with the new, confusing Wild Card rule. So things have been a little all over the place as of late, but tonight we expect the Superstars to deliver inside the ropes.

Tonight’s main event is, presumably, Becky Lynch Vs. Charlotte Flair. Which will be Becky’s second title defence of the night; the first being against Lacey Evans for the Raw Women’s Championship.  Having Becky hold two belts is rather pointless, so we can probably assume she’s going to drop one tonight. Either way, we can expect the main event to be stellar.

The other potential main event tonight is Seth Rollins Vs. AJ Styles for the Universal Championship. While these two are some of the best wrestlers on the planet, their feud hasn’t really sparked much excitement in fans. While WWE has attempted to inject some heel tactics into AJ’s persona, the fans are reluctant to boo him. Regardless, this could easily be our match of the night.

And then we have Kofi Kingston Vs. Kevin Owens. This is an interesting feud and much better than Rollins/Styles. Owens has been on top-form since returning to WWE and Kofi is the perfect, lovable foil. It’s hard to see Kofi dropping the title just yet, unless of course we get a shocking heel turn from Xavier Woods.

Tonight’s show will, of course, feature two Money In The Bank ladder matches, as well as Samoa Joe Vs. Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship, Roman Reigns Vs. Elias, Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan Vs. The Uso’s, and The Miz Vs. Shane McMahon in a steel cage. The show begins at 6 PM EST with the Kick-Off Show. Until then, don’t forget to follow us on Instagram, download the Ringside News app, and enjoy the show!

Kick-Off Show

The Money In The Bank Kick-Off panel consists of Coach, Sam Roberts, Charly Caruso, and David Otunga. The panel run down the entire card for tonight’s show.

Becky Lynch is interviewed backstage and asked if tonight will be the end of Becky Two Belts. She says the two clowns [Evans and Flair] know they don’t have what it takes to beat The Man one on one. She says we’ll find out what they’re made of tonight. She says she knows tonight isn’t easy and she could duck and dodge, but the trailblazing path is not an easy one. And you can tell the power of a belt and its holder by the line-up looking to get a shot, and she has two divisions gunning for her. And tonight we’ll see what happens when the man comes around.

We see Lacey Evans sitting in her dressing room. She says Becky Lynch talks a lot of trash but, just like trash, she’ll be left at the curb tonight. She says the more trash Becky talks, the sweeter it will be when she takes the Raw Women’s Championship from her. And that’s only the start of her bad evening, because after she’s done with her, Charlotte Flair will complete the sweep. Proving once and for all that a man is no match for a queen or a lady.

Kevin Owens is interviewed backstage and asked if he can become the new WWE Champion. He asks it back rhetorically, and says its not a matter of if, it’s a matter of how. He says he can slap the positivity off of Kofi’s face, or break his hands so he doesn’t have to hear him clap anymore. Regardless of how, he will do it. He says he doesn’t have any against Kofi Kingston, he’s a nice guy, it’s just that Kofi has what he wants. And tonight he can promise it will be a new day, because he will be the new WWE Champion.

Beth Phoenix and Sonya Deville joins the panel to discuss the Women’s Money In The Bank ladder match. Deville says it was an easy decision for her to step back and allow Mandy Rose partake in the match. Phoenix asks if inexperience may play a role, and Deville says that’s a non-factor because Rose has been in lots of first matches. Coach asks if she’ll be happy for Rose if she wins tonight. Zelina Vega interrupts the panel and starts bickering with Deville. They yell at each other until Coach has to send it ringside.

Daniel Bryan & Erick Rowan Vs. The Uso’s

The Uso’s cut a crappy promo before the match, and Rowan is repping Slipknot, respect. We start the match with Bryan and Jimmy. Bryan takes a headlock, is shot off, then kicked and forced to the corner. Jey tags in and chops Bryan in the corner. Rowan tags himself in and floors Jey with a running tackle.

We got a commercial for Money In The Bank, during which Jey was tossed from the ring, then back inside and stomped by Rowan. Bryan is back in the fray and he chops Jey in the corner. Rowan is tagged again and he tries to squish Jey’s head by squeezing his fists against his temples. Bryan comes in and methodically applies a surfboard stretch to Jey. Bryan chops Jey before delivering his running dropkicks in the corner. Jey catches Bryan with a Samoan drop to give himself a breather.

Rowan tags in and Jey tosses him into the corner before tagging Jimmy. Uce attacks the big man in the corner with wild punches. Rowan fires back and looks for a back suplex but Jimmy lands on his feet and his a whisper in the wind for a near-fall. Uso goes back to the top rope but Rowan catches him and slams him with a modified jackhammer for a near-fall.

We got yet another commercial for Money In The Bank. Rowan sets Jimmy on the top rope and climbs up, looking for a superplex but Jey comes back and tries to stop him. Rowan manages to superplex them both from the ropes!

Bryan tags in and slowly delivers the Yes kicks to Jey, but misses the last one. Jey connects with an enziguiri, followed by a superkick. He takes to the top rope and looks for the Samoan splash but Bryan catches him and applies the Lebell Lock. Jey fights but can’t get out until Jimmy comes back in and breaks it up. Rowan comes back in but gets knocked out of the ring. Jimmy hits a suicide dive but he’s caught by Rowan, then Jey tries it and suffers the same fate. They hit him with double superkicks, then stereo suicide dives. Bryan looks to hit them with a suicide dive but he gets hit with double superkicks. Jimmy and Jey then hit stereo splashes to Bryan and win!

Winners: The Uso’s

That was a very good match that makes me excited for a proper feud between those two. Though a lengthy title run for Bryan and Rowan is almost necessary for the division.

We return to the Kick-Off Panel for one last run down of the Money In The Bank card and that’s it for the pre-show.

Money In The Bank 2019 opens with a graphic for the late Ashley Massaro.

Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Naomi vs. Carmella vs. Mandy Rose vs. Bayley vs. Ember Moon vs. Nikki Cross vs. Dana Brooke vs. Natalya

The match gets underway and chaos ensues. Cross traps Dana Brooke in the ring apron and slams her with forearms. Cross then grabs a ladder and brings it into the ring, where she takes out just about every woman in the match. She puts it over her head and spins around, hitting people, until Dana Brooke dropkicks her.

Brooke and Moon then grab the ladder and Brooke is slammed into the corner where she’s stuck. Cross jumps on Ember’s back, so Moon throws herself backwards into the ladder and Brooke. Mandy Rose comes in and runs up the ladder with a knee to the head of Brooke. She’s pulled off the ropes then and to the floor. Natalya slams Carmella head-first into the ladder and tries to catapult Naomi into it but she lands on her feet and jumps off with a kick to Nattie.

Carmella catches Naomi with a slam but then Bayley hits her with a ladder. Bayley attempts to set the ladder up in the middle of the ring but she’s stopped by Ember Moon. Carmella kicks the ladder and both women towards the ropes. There was a weird part where Carmella seemed to hurt her leg and pushed Mandy Rose away, yelling her to leave her alone. She did this three times before just crawling out of the ring to a doctor, while Bayley came in and attacked Rose. Meanwhile four women grab two ladders and are standing in the ring, Naomi runs across both ladder and jumps off with a kick to Rose. Naomi is then surrounded by said four women and their ladders, and they run at her but she does the splits to avoid being hit, in turn they hit one another.

The medical team is still checking on Carmella on the outside – it’s almost assuredly a work. Dana Brooke hands Ember Moon in a tree of woe on a ladder, then hits a handspring back elbow into her. Dana hits Bayley but gets hit with a knee in response. Bayley hits her with a sunset flip powerbomb into the ladder in the corner. The Hugger sets-up the ladder in the ring but she’s attacked by Mandy Rose. Natalya and Rose grab either side of the ladder and squish Bayley in between it three times. Bayley rolls away and onto another ladder, where Naomi hits her with a split-legged moonsault.

Every woman begins trying to climb the ladder in the middle of the ring. Nikki Cross hits Moon with a swinging neckbreaker from the ropes. Brooke then shoves the ladder over and into Nikki Cross. Brooke realises it’s her moment and sets the ladder back in place. She climbs and gets her hands on the briefcase but Rose gets up and shoves her off, so that she’s hanging in mid-air. Eventually she gets her feet back on the ladder and shoves Rose off. Bayley, Dana, and Naomi are fighting on the ladder and in comes Nikki Cross like a demon and almost gets the briefcase but Nattie shoves it over and all four women crash. Ember Moon then comes off a ladder outside the ring with The Eclipse to Natalya inside the ring! Wow!

Rose hit Moon with her finisher across a ladder on the mat, then shoved the ladder out. She tries to climb the ladder but out comes Carmella again. The two-time Money In The Bank winner comes down and attacks Rose, taking her out. Carmella begins climbing the ladder but out comes Sonya Deville, who pulls Carmella down. Deville takes out Carmella, then brings Mandy Rose back into the ring. Sonya puts her on her shoulders and climbs the ladder. She gets Rose right to the top but then Bayley comes back in and climbs the ladder. She smiles at them before shoving them both off and retrieving the briefcase!

Winner: Bayley

Bayley is your Miss Money In The Bank 2019! Charly Caruso comes into the ring and congratulates Bayley. She says it looks like Bayley is on her way to become SmackDown Live Women’s Champion. Bayley says she is proud of everything she and Sasha achieved, but she came to SmackDown Live to remind people of who she is.

We see Triple H sitting on his phone backstage and in walks Sami Zayn. He asks Triple H where Shane is, and ends up pissing HHH off. Zayn says they have a big problem in the form of Braun Strowman. He defeated Braun on Raw to get his position in this match, but tonight he’s incredibly nervous and paranoid because he’s expecting Braun to interfere in the match. Triple H tells him to calm down and says Braun has been banned from the building. Zayn says he’s just asking for some protection, and HHH tells him to wrap up his fists.

United States Championship Match

(C) Samoa Joe Vs. Rey Mysterio

The bell rings and Mysterio tries to unload on Joe but the Samoan kicks his leg out from under him. The fans are certainly behind Joe. Rey fires back with a hurricanrana, followed by a springboard senton. Joe floors Rey with a massive chop and it looks like Joe’s nose is broke somehow. Joe looked for a powerbomb but Mysterio reversed into a hurricanrana and a weak pin for the shock win.

Winner and New United States Champion: Rey Mysterio

Joe’s shoulder was off the mat and the announcers are saying it was a bad decision. Joe leaves and out comes Mysterio’s son Dominick. Rey and his son celebrate and leave up the ramp but then Joe attacks them! Joe gets Rey back in the ring and hits him with a Urinage. Joe stares down Dominick before hitting another Urinage.

We see Braun Strowman backstage, screaming for Sami Zayn and destroying stuff. Poor job banning him from the building.

Steel Cage Match

The Miz Vs. Shane McMahon

As soon as the bell rings Shane scales the cage and tries to escape. Miz drags him back down into the cage and unloads some ground and pound on him. Shane kicks Miz off and continues trying to escape, but keeps being pulled back in. Miz attacks Shane with the It Kicks, but McMahon catches him and slams him into the cage.

Shane stands on Miz’s face and tees off on him against the cage. Shane slows the pace and stomps Miz around the ring. Miz drags Shane back inside but McMahon has a chair now. Miz kicks him before he can use the weapon and both men are down. Miz gets the chair and hits Shane with it. McMahon tries to crawl out the door but Miz yanks it back and into Shane’s head. Miz continues to beat the chair off of Shane’s back. Miz then lifts Shane and hits Skull Crushing Finale onto a steel chair. Miz pins him but Shane gets his foot on the bottom rope….the referee stopped counting but rope breaks don’t work. The commentators try to say the referee is in Shane’s pocket as the fans chant “bull$hit.”

Shane tries to escape and Miz grabs him again. Miz looks to hit Skull Crushing Finale off of the top rope but Shane elbows him and they both fall. Shane climbs to the top but Miz whacks his leg with the chair. Miz then climbs up and joins Shane at the top. They brawl until Miz is able to yank Shane from the top of the cage and square into the middle of the ring. Ow. Miz then hit a terrible frog splash from the top rope for a near-fall.

Shane manages to apply the head triangle to The Miz and the fans rally for him to escape. Miz forces Shane back and into a pin so Shane releases. Shane then crawls to the cage door but Miz pulls him back in and catapults him into the cage wall but Shane grabs hold and starts climbing. Shane gets his legs over but Miz grabs his head. Miz looks to hit a superplex from the top of the cage but Shane wriggles free. Miz has his shirt but Shane literally slides down and out of his shirt to escape the cage and win.

Winner: Shane McMahon

Mick Foley will be on Raw tomorrow night to announce a brand new title in WWE. Hardcore? European? Galaxy?

The camera is suddenly running around backstage until we find Triple H and officials. The camera goes into a dark area where we see Sami Zayn hanging upside down, unconscious. Triple H then shoves the camera guy out of the area and he falls down.

Winner: Tony Nese

Triple H approaches Braun Strowman backstage and says he knows what he’s trying to do, but he can’t replace Sami Zayn in the ladder match tonight by taking him out. Braun says he has no idea what Triple H is talking about. HHH says he won’t take any further actions or call the police, but as a professional and his boss, he asks that he leave the building. Braun says “whatever” and walks off. So I’m guessing it was Sullivan who attacked Zayn.

The announcers run down the entire card for WWE Super Showdown – with no acknowledgement that the show is in Saudi Arabia. The Undertaker Vs. Goldberg is the main event, preceded by Triple H Vs. Randy Orton, Finn Balor Vs. Andrade, Braun Strowman Vs. Bobby Lasley, and a 50-man over-the-top battle royal. No women’s matches of course. Nonetheless it will either be “the equivalent to, or even exceed WrestleMania”.

It’s main event time and our first entrant is Baron Corbin.

Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Baron Corbin Vs. Finn Balor Vs. Ricochet Vs. Andrade Vs. Randy Orton Vs. Drew McIntyre Vs. Ali

The match gets underway with just seven men, seeing as Zayn was taken to hospital earlier. Orton didn’t even get into the ring before the bell rang and the brawl ensued. He did pull Ali out of the ring and back-drop him on the announce table. Finn and Ricochet knock Corbin from the ring, then look for stereo dives but Orton pulls Finn from the ring and drops him on the announce table as well. The ring gets busy again, with Ali hitting Ricochet with an inverted Frankensteiner. Ali sets the ladder up again and starts to climb but is chopped by Andrade and falls into a tree of woe from the ladder. Andrade brings in another ladder and starts climbing that one, while Ali sits-up and scales his. They’re fighting, side-by-side, across two ladders and Ali hits a Spanish Fly!

On the outside, McIntyre attacks Ali and sets a ladder across the apron and announce table. He lifts Ali above his head and attempts to drop him on said ladder but Ali lands on his feet. Corbin then grabs Ali and hits a massive chokeslam through the announce table. Corbin tosses McIntyre over the barricade, then gets into the ring and chokeslams Finn onto a ladder on its side! Corbin gets knocked from the ring and Ricochet tries to hit a suicide dive but Corbin catches him in mid-air for a Deep Six on the floor. What a showcase for Corbin. McIntyre comes back and hits Corbin with a Claymore on the floor.

McIntyre grabs Andrade for the inverted Alabama Slam and does it onto Finn on the ladder! Ricochet returns with springboard to take out McIntyre, then he begins climbing the ladder.
