AEW Continues To Tease Bringing In WWE NXT Superstar

WWE could have some competition with AEW soon enough. It certainly seems like The Elite wouldn’t mind having a few WWE Superstars who are still locked into deals, but they are also close to their limit.

Joey Ryan and Candice LeRae were The World’s Cutest Tag Team on the indies. Then that team was broken up after Candice signed with WWE. Since then she’s been in NXT and doing what she can. However, they keep making reference to her on Being The Elite which is incredibly interesting as well.

Dave Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that AEW doesn’t like to start angles without a plan to complete them. However, with WWE’s current mindset of not letting anyone out of their contracts Joey Ryan might have to wait a long time before his famous tag team will have a chance at reuniting.

“They also asked him, ‘Hey Joey what ever happened to the blonde girl?’ which is like their running gag which is real interesting because that’s about Candice LeRae and Candice LeRae is legitimately under contract to WWE. She’s not getting released. Not now, that’s for damn sure.”

“So it’s like they like to pay off all their angle and I guess in two years this one will pay off, but it’s gonna be a slow build.”

Candice LeRae and Joey Ryan could have an amazing reunion in the ring if they let these jokes keep occurring. They certainly seem to be hinting at something.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumblings that Candice LeRae might want to venture outside of WWE after her current contract is up. At this time WWE isn’t letting people out of their deals. If anything, they are making it even harder for Superstars to even voice their desires of wanting to leave without having more time tacked onto their contracts.
