Nick Aldis is the NWA World Heavyweight Champion and doing a fine job representing the title. He might have gotten a little ahead of himself recently though.

As we previously reported, Willie Mack was the subject of a cease and desist that Lucha Underground sent to the NWA. Mack was the NWA National Champion at the time and LU didn’t want Mack appearing for them.

Willie Mack lost the NWA National Title to Colt Cabana at the Crockett Cup event and Nick Aldis didn’t seem happy at all about it. He tweeted a pretty unhappy sounding message before deleting it.

“If you ever wanted to see the evidence of scheming carny wrestling BS, look no further. Sorry Willie. They took advantage of you.”

PW Insider noted that the plan was always for Mack to drop the title to Cabana. The fact that Lucha Underground was sending cease and desist letters only complicated things from the outside apparently.

To add more gravity to this IWC conspiracy, Willie Mack then turned around and signed multi-year deal with Impact Wrestling. It just so happens that Impact Wrestling has ties to Lucha Underground and AAA. So there could be some fire to that rumor smoke. Either way, Willie Mack seems happy to be back in Impact Wrestling.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
