Goldust is no longer a WWE Superstar and it was sad to see him say goodbye to his legendary gimmick. Now he is with AEW, but his fans might not have traveled with him.

Dustin Rhodes tweeted out a typical Twitter question where he asked if people were with him at Double Or Nothing. He asked people to retweet if it was a “yes” and favorite if it is a “no.” The results of this little social media tactic to spread the word about AEW’s May 25th event might not have turned out the way he thought they would.

As of this writing, Dustin Rhodes’ post did very well. However, his fans are either voicing their opinions in a big way or they can’t follow instructions.

Because his post currently has 413 retweets and 1,006 favorites. That is a pretty large majority of fans who essentially told Dustin Rhodes, “no.”

Of course, retweets are going to spread the message and fill up a timeline. So fans might not be too keen to click that button so quickly. Favorites are easier and some fans might have thought they were showing support anyway when it was clearly stated that this was not the case in this particular post.

It is still interesting to see that so many people elected to click favorite anyway when it clearly states that would mean they’re not with Dustin Rhodes at Double Or Nothing.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
