WWE wants to make their move to Fox in October the biggest deal possible which means that they need to bring out some heavy hitters who are guaranteed to bring up ratings. Therefore, the company is calling on two legends to help out.

Brad Shepard reported on Oh, You Didn’t Know that WWE is expecting The Undertaker and John Cena to be on SmackDown’s debut episode on Fox. It is not a huge surprise that WWE would want both of them to be a part of the blue brand’s big move, but don’t expect to see either of them on WWE television every week.

“John Cena and The Undertaker are both expected to be on the debut episode of SmackDown Live on Fox. No surprise there they’re gonna pull out the big guns for Fox.”

WWE really needs to turn out a big rating because Fox doesn’t have the same problem bringing in viewers with their Friday night line-up as they did when first signing a lucrative deal with Vince McMahon’s company. At this point, Fox is considering SmackDown’s Friday night slot on their main network as a short-term plan.

Only time will tell if the added viewer reach will help SmackDown pop a massive rating, but having The Undertaker and John Cena around won’t hurt matters.
