Chris Jericho shocked the pro wrestling world when he made his affiliation with All Elite Wrestling official. However, as we previously reported Tony Khan actually wanted CM Punk before he had anyone else.

The door is still wide open for CM Punk to make a pro wrestling return to AEW. After all, he did recently make an appearance while wearing a mask to deliver a nasty GTS in a very bouncy ring.

While speaking to Express, Chris Jericho was asked about CM Punk coming to AEW. Although Punk might not have any desire to wrestle again, Y2J commented that All Elite Wrestling would still be the perfect place for the Second City Savior.

“It’s a pretty obvious answer. I don’t know if he wants to wrestle, but if he decides to, I think AEW would be the perfect place for him.”

CM Punk got a lot of fans’ hopes up when he did a rare meet and greet at the Pro Wrestling Tees’ Chicago home store before ALL IN. He doesn’t seem to be unfriendly with anyone in The Elite, so you can never say never.

In the meantime, CM Punk is still under UFC contract even though it might be a while before he gets another fight, if that ever comes about.
