Conrad Thompson has confirmed that Japanese wrestling legend Kenta Kobashi has been confirmed to be appearing at Starrcast II during Double or Nothing weekend.

Fans have been left feeling a bit frustrated in the last 24 hours after it was revealed that The Undertaker and Kurt Angle had been pulled from the Starrcast event at the request of WWE. Conrad stated that his aim was to go out and find suitable replacements, and he’s done a pretty decent job here.

The first Starrcast was considered by many to be a resounding success during All In weekend, and as such, there’s a real push for this one to match it – and potentially even improve upon it.

While he may be retired from the ring now, Kenta’s work from throughout the course of his iconic career will forever be remembered. These days he still makes the odd appearance in some promotions, but for the most part, he stays out of the limelight.

There’s no doubt in our minds that Conrad is still going to go out and try to get even bigger and better names to go alongside Kobashi, because the disappointment of Taker dropping out (and Angle) will undoubtedly have caused some concerns for fans that have already bought their tickets to Vegas.

Regardless of how it all ends up, one thing is for sure: Thompson and his team are doing everything they can to put together the best product possible. Kudos to them for that, because a lot of fans will be grateful.
