Cody Rhodes’ opponent at Double Or Nothing will be a very special one for him. He is facing his brother Dustin Rhodes better known as Goldust to the WWE Universe. Now Dustin Rhodes is gone from WWE, but he is not stopping.

Just hours after revealing his new logo, Dustin Rhodes was announced for his first match in months after needing knee surgery. Dave Meltzer discussed when Rhodes’ contract with WWE expired during Wrestling Observer Radio. This means that there is not a no-compete clause in play so he is free to work AEW’s Las Vegas show on May 25th.

“The thing is that Dustin’s contract expired just recently, I don’t know the day, but it may have been yesterday. That might be why nobody announced anything and then Conrad announced him for Starrcast as well.”

The Rhodes Brothers are telling a story building toward Double Or Nothing, but it is going to start with a match without any time to really tell the story on television. We will have to wait and see how things escalate from this point on during the Road To Double Or Nothing YouTube series, but it was speculated that this could be just the beginning of Cody and Dustin’s next chapter in pro wrestling as brothers.
