Brock Lesnar opened up WrestleMania 35 by losing the WWE Universal Title to Seth Rollins. It appears that match will be another huge milestone in Rollins’ career that they plan on keeping as a part of his character.

Brad Shepard said on Oh, You Didn’t Know that the finish for Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins was hammered out well ahead of time. There was no disagreement as to how the match would end, but it still got changed around.

“Brock Lesnar… so Brock was dropping the title and that was the plan for at least a week in advance if not more. Seth’s going to be keeping the Beast Slayer moniker for a while I’m told.”

Brock Lesnar didn’t want to stick around for seven hours until the semi-main event of WrestleMania to drop the title. This is why he demanded to go on first. Therefore, WWE changed the WrestleMania card to allow him to open the show.

The match went off as planned though without any changes. Therefore, Lesnar vs Rollins was changed when it comes to the match’s placement on the card, but it did not experience any alteration when it comes to the actual end result of the encounter.
