Brock Lesnar dropped the WWE Universal Title to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania and their match happened sooner than they expected. However, there could be a very good reason for this.

As we previously reported, Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins was originally slated to go on before the main event match. This was switched during the kickoff show and Paul Heyman was sent out without Hulk Hogan even realizing what was going on.

Before Lesnar vs Rollins was made the first match of the night, AJ Styles vs Randy Orton was set to kick off the main WrestleMania card. This change meant that they worked the second match of the show instead which isn’t the best place for them. The fact that WWE blinded fans with lights throughout much of that contest only added to the lackluster reception.

We have heard rumors that Brock Lesnar showed up rather late to WrestleMania and demanded to go on first. Apparently, he hadn’t heard that WWE had already made a huge deal about women main eventing the show of shows. When the main event couldn’t be given to Lesnar, he demanded to go on first.

This falls in line with what Dave Meltzer mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio about Lesnar not wanting to wait 7 hours for his match to go on second to last in the evening. Therefore, plans were changed to accommodate him.
