WWE superstar Paige took the time on social media earlier today to stand up for the Divas of years gone by in the company.

When Paige first made her debut on the main roster the night after WrestleMania 30, we were still very much in the Divas era – although the Women’s Revolution was certainly on the horizon. Despite the negative perceptions surrounding that term, though, Paige was able to have one of the best feuds of her generation with AJ Lee.

Since then Paige’s journey in WWE has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride, but there’s no doubting the fact that she’ll be remembered fondly by the WWE Universe for years to come.

Everything Paige is saying makes a lot of sense, as there are many top stars that came out of the era in question. It may be remembered for the negatives more so than the positives, but that doesn’t mean we should purely be focusing on the Charlotte Flairs and Becky Lynchs of the world in the present day.

As we look ahead to the future it’ll be interesting to see how the term ages, especially as we settle into a product where the women are equally as important as the men.

As for Paige, fans are eagerly anticipating her revelation next week as to what tag team she’ll be aligning herself with.

Either way, though, you can bet that people will continue to tune in to see her on a week to week basis.
