CM Punk and Kofi Kingston became good friends in WWE and although the Second City Savior wasn’t in MetLife Stadium for WrestleMania he certainly heard that his friend won the WWE Title. This is something that Punk was very happy about, but there is also frustration there.

While speaking to Stadium’s Sauce & Shram, Punk was asked about his friend’s big win and admitted that it should have happened a decade ago.

“It should’ve happened ten years ago. You know, that’s what I’ll leave with. And it’s one of those things where yes, I’m stoked that it happened now, but again, be ahead of the curve instead of behind it.”

CM Punk has not held back his feelings about WWE in the slightest. In fact, he was sued for this exact reason. Kofi Kingston worked exceedingly hard to reach this WrestleMania moment, but it really should not have taken so long to get there.
