As seen on Sky Bet, the betting odds for Pete Dunne vs WALTER at NXT TakeOver: New York have been released.

The rise of NXT UK, and British wrestling in general over the last few years, has been difficult to ignore. Some of the brightest stars in independent wrestling today have come from the British Isles, and in addition to that, there is a plethora of world class talent from over the pond that are already making a name for themselves in WWE.

Two such men are Pete Dunne and WALTER, who are set to square off for the WWE United Kingdom Championship at TakeOver: New York this weekend. Dunne has held the title for more than 680 days now, but the force that is WALTER will provide him with his toughest test yet.

The odds suggest that WALTER will indeed become only the third man to hold the UK Championship, as he is the 1/7 favourite to walk away with the belt. The Bruiserweight, on the other hand, is a 4/1 underdog to retain the strap.

There’s no doubting that this is going to be a hard hitting brawl between two of Europe’s finest, but the idea of Dunne losing the belt is something that many fans can’t even begin to fathom given the length of his championship reign up to this point.

Both men will still be in incredibly strong positions regardless of who comes away with the win, and it seems almost certain that we’ll see a rematch between the two at some point down the road.
