Andrade Cien Almas is a former NXT Champion and had a great run under a mask as La Sombra until losing a mask vs mask match. The 29-year-old pro wrestler has a lot going for him from his skills in the ring to his ability to be likable. However, WWE is currently booking Andrade as a heel.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE most likely has babyface intentions for Andrade. If he were given that role, Andrade could find a lot of success and hopefully, that is WWE’s plan.

“When he turns babyface he’ll get his chance I think. I mean he’s not, I don’t necessarily think that his strength is… he’s okay as a heel. I think that the long-run is that they want him as a babyface.”

WWE needs powerful babyfaces that can connect with audiences. If given the chance, Andrade could become a big WWE Superstar in not only the Latin American market, but also for anyone else who appreciates a little bit of Tranquilo. We will just have to wait and see how Zelina Vega fits into a possible babyface move if WWE goes that direction.
