WWE Considering Defending Main Roster Titles At NXT TakeOver Event

WWE consists of many brands at this point and they have a lot of titles floating around. None of those championships can travel from brand-to-brand except for the new Women’s Tag Team Titles and WWE is considering taking advantage of that idea.

Ringside News has been told that WWE is currently kicking around the idea of having Sasha Banks and Bayley defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at an NXT TakeOver event. Of course, their challengers would be from the NXT roster.

The Boss n Hug Connection have appeared at NXT events few times with their titles. The message was clear that the women in NXT need to step up their game because a title opportunity could be coming.

Banks and Bayley love NXT as well and the idea of performing at another TakeOver special would be undoubtedly amazing for them. It isn’t something set in stone because their next scheduled title defense will be at WrestleMania in a match that they are still working to finalize.

Even if Sasha and Bayley’s run as Women’s Tag Team Champions doesn’t see them perform at a TakeOver special, the idea is that WWE still has that option available later on.
