Kevin Owens made his return as he had been promising for weeks. However, he did not return as a babyface as he was supposed to. Plans were changed once again, and it was Vince McMahon behind that decision as always.

Post Wrestling reports that Kofi Kingston was set to have his WWE Fastlane match until last week. That is when Vince McMahon decided to pull him and replace Kofi for Kevin Owens.

We were told by one person in the WWE that the decision to make the switch involving Kofi Kingston and Kevin Owens for the Fastlane title match was made last week

Kofi Kingston losing his WWE Title match at WWE Fastlane could be a very good thing for him in the end. It will cause even more anticipation for an eventual title shot for Kingston and it is only logical to assume that WWE could be heavily considering a win for Kingston at WrestleMania.

Interestingly enough, Daniel Bryan received a similar push out of a groundswell of support going into WrestleMania XXX. Bryan is the very man that Kofi Kingston will need to defeat in order to make his WrestleMania moment become a reality this year.
