Former WWE Superstar Joins NJPW Stable

The world of professional wrestling has never been more unpredictable and ‘open’ as it is right now, with wrestlers bouncing between different promotions and companies across the globe.

That can only be considered a good thing, because options in this business means that more and more guys and girls are able to get paid – which serves as progress, in our mind. Alas, despite the resurgence of All Elite Wrestling as of late, it’s worth remembering that there is still one major promotion that is viewed as a legitimate alternative to WWE: and that is New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Earlier this morning New Japan made another pretty big move, too, adding the following former WWE superstar to their ranks.

‘Mad’ Mikey Nicholls, formerly known as Nick Miller in WWE, is now a member of the Chaos stable over in NJPW and will also be competing in the New Japan Cup.

Miller, aka Nicholls, served as one half of the TM-61 group back in NXT. Unfortunately the duo just never really seemed to catch fire as many had been anticipating, with Miller eventually asking for his release. At the time, it was said that he did so because he wanted to spend some more time with his family.

At the very least this is a good sign for New Japan that they’re still able to bring notable talent over to their shores, with many believing that the promotion could start to struggle courtesy of the aforementioned rise of AEW.

Buckle up, folks.
