WWE NXT UK held television tapings on Saturday and there were a couple of noteworthy events. Viper made he debut and a huge match was booked for NXT TakeOver: New York. However, not all news was good coming out of the taping.
Dave Meltzer explained on Wrestling Observer Radio that Noam Dar and Mark Andrews were both injured during a dangerous spot. The match was ruled as a no-contest and now we have to wait to see how bad their injuries are.
“Mark Andrews and Noam Dar had a match and I guess there was a reverse hurricanrana spot and Noam Dar blew out his knee and Mark Andrews left on a stretcher and was knocked out.”
It is said that the severity of the injuries is not known yet, but they did have to stop the match immediately because of the spot. It was also noted that both Superstars are being treated for their injuries, but there is no update yet.
This is especially awful timing for Noam Dar as the Scottish Supernova recently moved back to Europe so he could be on NXT UK full-time.
We will keep you up to date on this breaking story as we get further developments.
