Matt Hardy Has 11 Days Left On His WWE Contract & Teases Leaving

Matt Hardy hasn’t wrestled in a long time because he has been out of action due to a crazy injury. His spinal cord and pelvis have fused together, but Hardy said that he is greenlit for a return to action.

That green light did not translate into an actual return. This is very interesting because it turns out that Matt Hardy only has a very short time left on his WWE contract — 11 days.

Hardy recently sent out a tweet remembering his Expedition Of Gold where he traveled around the indies with his brother Jeff Hardy and captured a wheelbarrow’s worth of titles. This was followed up by Hardy saying “I’ve always felt comfortable outside the WWE.”

Someone asked Hardy if this was a threat, and he was very candid with his reply.

Not a threat at all, just a fact. I have 11 days left on my current deal. I love @WWE, but I’m 100% comfortable being outside the walls of pro wrestling’s “Alexandria” Safe-Zone. I’m a born SURVIVALIST.

My previous tweet will NEVAH face DELETION.

Matt Hardy owns Broken Matt Hardy. WWE just never let him use that gimmick and went with Woken Matt Hardy because they could own it. However, it is 100% ownership of the House Of Hardy since Anthem Sports relinquished it. Therefore, you really never know what can happen in pro wrestling because Matt Hardy could start deleting on the indies very soon.

We also have to wonder what is up with Jeff Hardy’s WWE contract as well since the Hardy Boyz made their return together at WrestleMania in Orlando.
