Why Vince McMahon Called Up Recent Top NXT Superstars

WWE suprised a lot of people when they brought Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Ricochet, and Aleister Black. Vince McMahon had his reasons because he thought his product was growing stale.

Dave Meltzer explained during Wrestling Observer Radio that Vince McMahon is under the impression that WWE doesn’t have any Superstars, therefore, they need to make more. His reasoning for this could very well be an answer to All Elite Wrestling as well.

“Vince is reacting to the ratings. I think there is a reaction to AEW.”

McMahon could be starting to see the writing on the wall that they don’t have the star power that they used to. Therefore, a change needed to be made and it was a big one this time.

“He felt that the reason the ratings are down is because the product is stale. You know the stars are stale and it’s like ‘we don’t have any Superstars and these guys that we have aren’t gonna be Superstars so we need to make new superstars so we gotta get guys that we haven’t ruined.’”

We will have to wait and see if Vince McMahon’s new strategy pays off. He obviously made this decision for a reason. So all we can do is hope for the best at this point.
