Why WWE Made Big Change To Elimination Chamber Main Event

WWE’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view was Sunday and the WWE Universe is still experiencing the aftermath from that event. It almost went down much differently at first.

Mike Johnson noted on PW Insider Elite Audio that the Women’s Elimination Chamber match was in fact going to close out the pay-per-view, however, Vince McMahon had other ideas.

“At one point this was going to close the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Vince McMahon, you know there was a push to have the men close instead and I was told that all starts with Vince and comes down from Vince because Vince makes the last call on everything.”

It all came down to what Vince McMahon wanted to do. In reality, he can stack a pay-per-view any way he wants.

In spite of others pulling for the Women’s Tag Team Title match to close out the event with a history-making moment, Vince McMahon decided that the pay-per-view’s conclusion should be all about the men and with that Kofi Kingston received much of the focus during the pay-per-view’s closing moments.
