We’re backstage with Lio Rush and Bobby Lashley, and Kayla Braxton asks if Rush is a weak link. She says Finn could easily cut Lashley out of the match, and beat Rush to take Lashley’s title. Bobby seems to contemplate this, while Rush tries to convince them otherwise.

Intercontinental Championship

2-On-1 Handicap Match

(C) Bobby Lashley & Lio Rush Vs. Finn Balor

The match begins with Lashley knocking Finn down right away. Balor fires back with kicks but Lashley shrugs them off and knees him in the gut. He’s targeting the stomach that Lesnar hurt. Balor responds with a flying forearm and Lashley rolls out to regroup with Rush.

Bobby comes back in and slams Finn down before bouncing him off of the turnbuckles. Lashley retains control until Finn connects with an enziguiri. Balor knocks him to the floor and looks to hit a tope but Rush grabbed his foot. Balor chases Rush around the ring but Lashley intercepts him and connects with a big slam against the barricade. Lashley gets him back in ring and beats Finn down for a minute before tagging Rush.

Rush talks trash to Finn and kicks him repeatedly. Balor fires back and Rush frantically makes the tag to Lashley. The Almighty regains control of the match and beats Finn down for a minute before tagging Rush again. Lio grabs holds of Finn with a pumphandle stretch. However Balor quickly tosses him off. Rush makes the tag to Lashley to avoid Finn, and the Champion slams Finn into the corner with shoulder thrusts. Lashley poses for the fans.

Lashley went to the corner to line-up a Spear but Rush tagged himself in. Lashley wasn’t happy but left the ring anyway. Rush looked for a frog splash but Balor moved. Now Finn is attempting to corner Rush and prevent him from making the tag. Finn knocked Lashley off the apron, then hit a double stomp to Rush. Balor then knocked both men out of the ring and hit a tope to both. He tosses Rush back inside, hits the corner dropkick, and a Coup de Grace for the win!

Winner and New Intercontinental Champion: Finn Balor

Lashley storms the ring as soon as the bell rings but Balor is long gone and he’s celebrating with his new belt at ringside. Finn takes his belt up the ramp, while Lashley is furious in the ring. Bobby kicks the ropes and yells, while Rush apologises. Lashley grabs him and threatens to beat him but stops himself. He turns to leave, but then does grab Rush and hit a one-handed spinebuster! They’d be insane to break these two up but that seems like what just happened.
