There was a report floating around on the IWC saying that Impact Wrestling only drew in 12,250 viewers for their debut episode on the Pursuit Channel.

Dave Meltzer even quoted this number on Wrestling Observer Radio, but he didn’t namedrop the source because it came from a site which listed some pretty specific details by the quarter hour.

However, Mike Johnson of PW Insider reports that no such ratings information is available at all.

“For those who have asked, we know of no one within Impact who have received viewership numbers for Pursuit yet. As I noted on my Elite audio yesterday, it is in that company’s best interest to find any other TV home ASAP”

This is probably a sign that any number floating around out there on the interwebs concerning Impact’s TV rating isn’t really truthful. Either that, or they were acquired in a means unbeknownst to Impact Wrestling.
