Paige is not allowed to wrestle anymore. She has spinal stenosis and her in-ring career was shut down as soon as the doctors made this discover. That won’t stop her from being super proud to be able to witness all of the female breakthroughs in WWE.

While speaking to Asbury Park Press she discussed having to miss out on so many milestones for women in WWE. She also said that the women are just as good as the men in WWE and some of them are even better.

“I wish I could be part of it, but I’m so happy that I was kind of one of the forerunners for it. It makes me feel really good, because that was my aim for when I came over here: I just wanted to change the perception of how women were looked at in general, and I thought me and couple of others kind of did that.”

“And I’m so proud of all the women that took the flag and ran with it at this point, because we have so many talented women there. And I sit back and I’m like, ‘Wow,’ it’s so incredible to see. Because the women are just as good as the men, and some of them are even better.”

The movie about Paige’s journey to WWE is debuting this week so she is likely to do a lot more interviews by the time the week is up. As she continues to represent WWE and her brand, it is important that she can keep an optimistic viewpoint.

As heartbreaking as it is that she can’t participate in those big events, she is still able to appreciate everything going on around her and know that she had a part in WWE’s Women’s Evolution.
