WWE has a lot of people on the shelf with an injury or illness right now. Vince McMahon spoke about this trend recentl and it’s just part of the pro wrestling business.

We have compiled a list of WWE main roster Superstar injuries because we are often asked about their statuses. It is important to remember that recovery from injury can’t be rushed because that could only do more damage.

First off, let’s get to two injuries that WWE is talking about, but they are not what they seem to be:

John Cena is not really injured in spite of what WWE said. This was a storyline device scripted to take him out of the Royal Rumble. He has a movie to shoot up in Canada which will conclude on April 1st. It was actually supposed to be Lars Sullivan taking the 16x World Champion out of action, but those plans were changed.

Becky Lynch is not injured either. This is a work on television to bring drama to her storyline. She is actually okay, but that won’t stop the McMahons from suspending her until she “sees a doctor.”

Since that is taken care of, let’s move on to Superstars who are actually injured and when we might see them make a return.

Kevin Owens could be ready to come back any time from his double knee surgery. He was in the WWE Performance Center working out and had match with Adam Cole that ended with a hip toss. Hopefully, KO will be able to return after WrestleMania for a fresh start.

Roman Reigns is popping up in lot of places as he battles leukemia. We have heard no timetable for his WWE return. He is said to be taking his treatments day by day. However, that won’t stop him from pursuing fruitful acting career in the meantime.

Sami Zayn is also approaching his time to come back to the ring. He needed double shoulder surgery, but his recovery has gone well. Zayn said that he didn’t miss WWE as much as he thought he would, but his time is coming. He could very well be another Superstar who will be returning after WrestleMania.

Fandango suffered a torn labrum, but after some recovery time he started lifting weights again in October. Hopefully, he will be able to come back soon because Tyler Breeze really misses his tag team partner.

Seth Rollins was pulled from WWE house shows for the remainder of the month. He is set to be evaluated for his bad back on Monday so there is always a hope that he could be cleared sooner than WWE thought. However, they still might give him time to rest up for his Universal Title match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.

Ember Moon worked the Royal Rumble event with a bad elbow. She required immediate surgery and will be out for some time. This is just the beginning of her recuperation process so don’t expect to see Moon return for a while.

AJ Styles reportedly had a hernia, but then he denied it. Now his injury status seems to be in doubt altogether. Styles continues to stay active on WWE television and he is set for an Elimination Chamber match on February 17th where he will attempt to regain the WWE Title.

Akam suffered a knee injury and needed surgery. Although Akam is out of action, WWE is still keeping Rezar and Drake Maverick on television. So at least that is a good sign for AOP.

Sasha Banks was reportedly injured, but she is one WWE Superstar that almost never has any information released about what she is dealing with. It is said that she was injured during her Royal Rumble match against Ronda Rousey. The Boss is still scheduled to compete in the Elimination Chamber match on February 17th where she and Bayley will attempt to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. She was not cleared to wrestle last week which is why WWE booked the match with her on the sidelines selling an attack that we never saw.

Harper needed wrist surgery and he has appeared at the WWE Performance Center recently. It could only be a matter of time before he makes his return. Some are under the impression that he could be brought into the current storyline Daniel Bryan has with Rowan in some respect.

Matt Hardy said that he is medically greenlit from his crazy injury, but now we are questioning how okay he really is. The WWE veteran has worked in a backstage capacity through his injury, so Hardy is another guy that could make a return at any time.

Tye Dillinger needed surgery on his hand. He was reportedly going to be cleared for a return at the Royal Rumble, but he didn’t appear in the #10 spot or anywhere else on the card.

Sin Cara is another person who could be ready at any time. He should make his return from injury soon. He also hinted at forming tag team with Rey Mysterio. Cara has remained active and even showed off how hard he can chop by destroying talk show host’s chest on a dare.
