Roman Reigns had to make an incredibly sad announcement on October 22nd last year. He has leukemia and after 11 years of remission, it came back. This caused Roman to relinquish the WWE Universal Title and go home.

In fact, Reigns has been able to keep busy. Along with treating his illness, he also picked up a role in Hobbs & Shaw. However, WWE had plans for The Big Dog at WrestleMania.

When Dave Meltzer was asked who the planned WrestleMania opponent for Reigns was before his departure, he had a simple reply: “Ambrose.”

Dean Ambrose is now leaving WWE after his current contract ends. You can’t help but wonder how things might be different all around if Reigns didn’t have to take his hiatus from WWE.
