WWE found themselves in a pretty tough spot when they announced their WWE Crown Jewel event. In reality, they faced criticism for even going to SKA in the first place even before the Greatest Royal Rumble. The murder of Jamal Khashoggi really caused a lot of unrest.

Vince McMahon’s company was suddenly taking shots from all directions including from John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight program on two separate occasions.

During WWE’s fourth-quarter financial call, WWE Co-President George Barrios praised two big international shows that WWE put on in 2018, namely the Super Show-Down and WWE Crown Jewel for “creating compelling content.”

He also said that these shows had a considerable impact on the company’s revenue as well. The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia is paying WWE a lot of money and they are just in the second of a ten-year deal with the controversial nation. Therefore, fans can probably expect much more compelling content to come.
