Welcome to Ringside News’ WWE SmackDown Live results for February 5th, 2019. This is a live result so please keep refreshing throughout the night for constant updates. The live reporting will kick off at 8:00 PM EST.

The Royal Rumble is behind us and the blue brand needs to prepare their side of the card for the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. We also need to determine the final spot in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Elimination Chamber match. However, if you’re reader of RSN you’ll know that WWE already leaked that infortmation.

Daniel Bryan will be facing Jeff Hardy tonight. The two are in the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Title. So we will get a nice preview of that match and could be treated to an impressive contest.

Mustafa Ali will get a chance to wrestle Randy Orton one-on-one tonight. Those two will also meet at the Elimination Chamber inside the unforgiving structure. As Ali’s name continues to rise in WWE, he could really benefit from a win or at least a good showing from someone like The Viper.

We will also see Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura team up against Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. The two former WWE United States Champions didn’t like the way that The Club talked to them last week after beating R-Truth down, so they will have a match.

There has to be plenty more action too because we don’t even know what is going on with SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka or the new WWE US Champion R-Truth. Since Becky Lynch was suspended last night on RAW, it makes her situation very interesting as well.

Opening

Charlotte came out and she looked to be in a great mood. She said the only thing more dangerous than ignorance is arrogance and that got the best of Lynch last night.

Flair continued to rail on Bex’s suspension. Then Charlotte said she hopes Lynch is healthy for Mania. Then Flair said she knows someone who is 100% healthy and would love to face Rousey…. then she pointed at the Mania sign.

Very few people were wooing. Then Becky Lynch showed up in the crowd. Officials including Adam Pearce showed up to separate them.

Then Triple H came out. He said that was enough. He told Becky she is suspended and told her to go home. Then he threw Charlotte out of the ring because this doesn’t concern her. That got a babyface pop for WWE’s COO.

Triple H told Lynch to go home. Then Lynch said she doesn’t trust Triple H or any of them in good faith. Triple H said if Lynch wants to wrestle then she’s got to see a doctor.

“Until then, go home,” Triple H said.

Then Becky asked if he made sure Stephanie McMahon was medically cleared after she punched her in the face. This made Triple H stop as he was leaving the ring.

Triple H said Lynch is a “self destructer” and she’s just looking for a way out of this. He said Lynch went to RAW before Survivor Series looking for a way out.

Triple H then told the crowd this didn’t concern them either (then why is it happening on the show?) he told them to shut up and that got heat. Triple H said Lynch is scared to go to the doctor.

“To be honest right now, I don’t think you’re even injured. Is your knee even hurt? Or is this another way to find your way out?” H said.

He said that Lynch is afraid that Rousey will expose her like the fraud that she is at WrestleMania. He said that she will prove that Becky Lynch fears Ronda Rousey… then she slapped him.

Triple H was not happy about that. So they had a stare-down while the crowd chanted “One more time.”

Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows vs Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura

Anderson and Gallows worked babyface during this match so they took a beating.

Rusev and Nakamura tagged in and out well and worked together as a team. Karl Anderson took a brunt of the abuse as the bigger Gallows waited for a hot tag.

The crowd used “too sweet” chants to hype Anderson up who finally broke away from Nakamura for a bit, but then he was hit with a reverse exploder. Then Shinsuke went for a Kinshasa and Anderson hit a spinebuster to tag in Luke Gallows.

Gallows took out Nakamura and then he and Rusev hit each other with clotheslines and they both went down. Lana got Nakamura to his feet and he broke up The Magic Killer.

Anderson hit a Rocket Kick, but Rusev hit the Machka Kick for the win. Lana screamed in heel happiness the whole time.

Winners: Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura

The Usos cut a fire promo backstage on Shane McMahon and The Miz where they called themselves the best in the world in so many ways.

Randy Orton vs Mustafa Ali

Randy started this match out by applying a severe beating on Ali. Then he got Ali outside and Orton did a suplex on the table. Mustafa bounced off and Orton ran right around to continue the beating.

Ali kicked out once they got in the ring. This is even worse for Mustafa Ali because he is currently working through an injury. So the powerslam from Orton couldn’t have felt good.

They made their way to the top. Then Orton hit a superplex on Ali for a two count. This was all Randy Orton and Mustafa Ali taking a beating so far.

Ali fought out of a headlock and hit a dropkick. Orton rolled out of the ring and Orton tried to suplex him on the desk again, but Ali flipped around and landed on his feet. Mustafa did a crossbody block over the announce table on Randy and they returned to the ring.

Ali nailed a few kicks and Randy was down on his knees. Then Mustafa went for a spear through the roped, Randy blocked it and Ali hit him with a kick. Then Ali hit a facebuster for a two count.

Orton tried for an RKO, but Ali hit a DDT for a close two count. Then Ali climbed up, but Orton pulled him down and hit an RKO in midair for the win.

Winner: Randy Orton

Samoa Joe choked out Randy and then he tossed Ali out of the ring. So he made a statement there.

Then Daniel Bryan walked out to see what was going on. Erick Rowan walked out and Samoe Joe strolled up to them and walked past Rowan before leaving.

Promo Time

Daniel Bryan was in the ring when we came back from commercial. It was promo time. The crowd chanted for Daniel Bryan a lot and he said, “Finally I get to talk to people who understand what I’m trying to do here.”

They are in Washington State and they love their native son Daniel Bryan. Bryan was extremely over. He was very good how he insulted everyone else while saying that the Washington crowd was on his side.

Bryan said he is fighting an uphill battle. Then he held up his new title and said this is why he created it. He said it was a symbol for people to rally behind. He said the old WWE Title a symbol of excellence and excess. Then he said his new title is a symbol of change.

Rowan said great thinkers like Bryan and himself are considered dangerous because they have ideas. They especially fear Bryan because he holds the title. The crowd started throwing in “What” at Rowan and Bryan said, “How dare you what my good friend Rowan.”

Then Bryan said he is the Planet’s Champion and the crowd loved it. Bryan said he should be in the Elimination Chamber, because he’s been there before. He knows what it takes and then he showed a highlight reel of past EC matches.

Bryan said the ignorant masses needs him as WWE Champion and so does the planet. If anyone else wins the title they will revert it back to the past. The crowd cheered for him the entire time. Then he left with Rowan and his wooden title.

Jeff Hardy was backstage watching what Daniel Bryan had to say. Then AJ Styles walked up to him and had something to say. They are hyping this Elimination Chamber match. It might not headline though considering the fact that they are crowning new champions in the other chamber match. I wouldn’t blame WWE for going for the home run that is the WWE Title match tho.

Carmella & Naomi vs Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose vs The IIconics

These are the three teams representing SmackDown in the Women’s Tag Team Elimination Chamber match. Because they all said that they were in the match unlike RAW who had to all qualify.

Mandy didn’t want anything to do with Naomi and she rushed out to tag out when The Glow came in the match. Naomi will probably finally get some kind of receipt on Rose for her hotel room antics at EC.

The IIconics were very upset that they couldn’t get a pinfall. So they beat down Carmella in the corner. Mella fought out and rolled Peyton up for a two count and then kicked her in the head.

Rose got the tag and continued to wear Carmella down. Mella tagged in Naomi again and Rose took off and got a tag. Naomi chased her around the ring and Sonya tried to head her off, but it didn’t work. Peyton got the tag and Naomi took her out too.

Then Naomi finally got her hands on Mandy. Okay, so it happened tonight. Naomi mounted Rose and punched away. Finall, Naomi hit a Rear View and then Mandy nailed her finisher and won the match. So Naomi is still looking for her win.

Winners: Fire & Desire

Zelina Vega and Andrade cut a promo backstage about Mysterio. She said the beginning of Andrade begins with Rey Mysterio’s end. This is interesting for big reason.

Daniel Bryan vs Jeff Hardy

Forgot to mention this earlier, but Daniel Bryan has a mean shiner still.

Bryan started this match by kicking Hardy until Jeff came back with a lariat and a splash for a two count. Rowan was at ringside making his presence known just by standing there.

Bryan came back and he hit a running dropkick in the corner. Then he got Hardy down on the mat for some submission holds until Jeff got out of Bryan’s clutches. Jeff fought back and hit a dropkick that sent Bryan outside. Then Jeff went running, but Rowan distracted him. So Bryan ran around and took Jeff down.

Bryan maintained control as he picked Hardy apart. Jeff and Bryan ended up trading shots in the middle of the ring and soon Bryan was outside and Jeff was diving on him.

Jeff got on top, but Bryan reversed and started his Yes Kicks. Then Hardy hit the Twist Of Fate and a Swanton Bomb. 1-2- and then Rowan pulled Jeff out and the match ended with DQ.

Winner: Jeff Hardy kinda

Rowan threw Hardy back in the ring and Bryan locked on the Yes Lock. Samoa Joe jumped Rowan and then got in to latch on a Coquina Clutch. Randy Orton slid down too and joined the fight.

They brawled until Mustafa Ali joined the fight with a huge shiner as well. Rowan caught Ali and palm slammed him onto the table.

AJ Styles’ music hit and he came out. He’s injured, but still took some shots at Orton in the ring and hit a kick. Then AJ hit a running knee from the apron on Joe followed by a Phenomonal Forearm to Hardy.

Daniel Bryan took off so AJ didn’t get to him.

Bryan screamed at Kayla Braxton backstage. He said he’s the best and the greatest and that’s why he’s the WWE Champion. He said Rowan hangs out with him because they are intellectual peers and Braxton doesn’t understand that. He said they’re not getting the title because he’ll be the champion forever. Nobody understands it except for Bryan and Rowan. Then he walked off while AJ took a seat on the top rope and posed for the crowd.
