WWE’s Royal Rumble is in the books this year. The event in Chase Field brought a lot of excitement, but as it turns out WWE needed to call a couple of audibles during the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

This match went very long and a lot of people noticed it. The match was capped off by Becky Lynch’s insertion at the last minute and the fans lost their minds. However, there might have been a little bit of mind losing backstage as well during the match.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that WWE had to change up some of the entrance times for the Women’s Royal Rumble match because the women in the ring weren’t getting to their spots quick enough. That is why it seemed like there were such longer intervals in between entrances in the women’s match as opposed to the men’s.

This match brought the crowd to a crescendo and it was noted that fans were exhausted by the end of it. Not only did the Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles match that followed suffer, but the men’s Royal Rumble match also seemed anticlimactic in comparison because Becky Lynch entering the rumble and winning with a bum leg was certainly the pop of the night.
