WWE made a pretty interesting announcement when they decided to payoff the big backstage brawl after NXT Takeover: Phoenix with a six-man tag match in the middle of the Super Bowl.

Halftime Heat is coming back and that might be bad news for Maroon 5, but as Mike Johnson noted on PW Insider Elite audio, WWE has a couple of options about how to pull this special off.

“I’ve heard two different theories. One is they will tape it this Thursday at the WWE NXT T.V taping, which to me makes the most sense. The other is that they could always have it at the WWE Performance Center and broadcast it from there. Unless they bring in an audience it seems a little weird to have them wrestle in a static environment.”

We will have to wait and see how this one turns out. It might not be a live event as promised, but if you’re not a fan of Adam Levine’s vocals, then at least you can watch a match with six of the best Superstars NXT has to offer.
