All Elite Wrestling made a bunch of big announcements on Tuesday during their Jacksonville Rally. There are still lot more details to be determined about this new promotion including a wellness policy.

Dave Meltzer discussed on Wrestling Observer Radio that he wasn’t aware there is going to be any kind of wellness policy for AEW. He does know lot about the upcoming promotion. In fact, he doubts that they will have a wellness policy to test for drugs because apparently, it’s not needed with their current roster.

“I’m not aware of that so that I don’t know. It’s funny because of the guys that they have. Most of those guys don’t even drink, you know what I mean? I actually don’t expect a wellness policy. I expect if they develop problems there would be. The road changes you, it hasn’t changed these guys. I haven’t heard word about it, but probably not.”

Things could always change and if AEW wants to present more of serious sports setting a wellness policy might help. However, that is probably one of the last things they’re thinking about right now.
