WWE is branching out into the United Kingdom in a big way. They signed a handful of the best UK talent available and recently upped their pay to make their contracts exclusive.

This new rule caused UK Superstars to cut ties with a lot of promotions that WWE didn’t approve of.

Drake Maverick knows a lot of those wrestlers well and recently commented on the fact that they had to wrap up their indie dates and start a new chapter in their careers. He sees it as a very good thing.

Congratulations to the British wrestlers who wrapped up their final independant dates today. Very happy for you all. Enjoy what the future brings!

It seems like these new restrictions are more of a door opener than something that hinders their work to Maverick. We will have to see how this could go on to change the United Kingdom indie scene, but either way it is still an exciting new step for a lot of very talented Superstars.
