Sometimes a WWE Superstar can break out and organically connect with the audience in a big way without WWE having to do anything. Carmella and R-Truth were paired up with each other for the second season of WWE Mixed Match Challenge which was interesting seeing how it apparently turned Carmella into a babyface out of nowhere. Then seven-second dance breaks started taking over the blue brand.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE seems to be intentionally pushing Truth at this point which might not be the best tactic to take. After winning the MMC, the two now have great Royal Rumble match spots as #30 entries and more comedy is on the way at WWE HQ. However, WWE forcing R-Truth’s push might not have been the best way to go about things.

“I think that R-Truth. I think they’re trying to force it. Like R-Truth in small doses is really good, but I think that there’s an overexposure level where it’s like the fake, dumb funny, I don’t know I was thinking it was a little too much of that.”

Sometimes too much of a good thing can ruin it. It’s fun to have things you like all the time, but everything grows old eventually. Hopefully, WWE will be able to find balance with R-Truth and Carmella’s act before it starts drawing heat because fans are simply tired of dancing for seven seconds.
