British Strong Style consists of WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne and former NXT Tag Team Champions Tyler Bate and Trent Seven. Since being signed to WWE as UK talent, all three Superstars have had the ability to work shows on the independent scene and compete for WWE on their various shows. That appears to be changing.
Amongst all the conversations of contract changes for the NXT UK Superstars, it appears that Dunne and Bate, in particular, will be moving forward exclusively with WWE. This seemingly means they will not compete for any other promotion besides WWE.
This comes after they both worked the “Mistletour” show for ATTACK! Pro Wrestling last night in Cardiff- where Reddit user McFlyJohn has confirmed that it was announced both Bate and Dunne would no longer be wrestling for the promotion. This is despite the fact that ATTACK! Pro Wrestling is listed among the promotions WWE has confirmed their stars can compete for.
For Dunne specifically, he mentioned that he has a few dates on the independent scene to wrap-up, giving further indication that both he and Bate will exclusively be working for WWE and not for any other promotions around the world moving forward.
As for Seven, it doesn’t appear as if he will be getting exclusivity with WWE just yet, as he was at the show but was not announced as having his final appearance. In fact, Seven wrestled in a completely different match to his British Strong Style brothers. He competed under the name of “Abuelo Santos Sr.” and teamed with Los Federales Santos Jr. against The Hunter Brothers.

For what it’s worth, the final match Dunne and Bate competed in was a 5 on 5 match-up. The match was held in the original ATTACK! Pro Wrestling ring and all men came out with their original themes. Every competitor was an original from the promotion. The match was Dunne, Bate, Mark Andrews, Damian Dunne, and Ryan Smile vs. Boar, Chris Brookes, Flash Morgan Webster, Eddie Dennis, and Mike Bird.
Other Superstars expected to go this route are Toni Storm and Seven himself in the future. As the NXT UK brand continues to grow, it is likely many of the current stars will end up in the same situation as Dunne and Bate.
