Ric Flair wrote an autobiography called To Be The Man a number of year ago which chronicled his own journey through pro wrestling. But when it was time for his daughter to get a book of her own, it also included an update from Ric because a lot happened in the years since. But Charlotte’s ex-husband didn’t like what was said about him at all and he sued the Flairs along with co-author Brian Shields.
The multi-million dollar lawsuit alleges that false statements were made about Charlotte’s ex Riki Paul Johnson. These statements include drug use and abuse. Johnson also wants the books taken down off shelves which has yet to happen either.
Within Johnson’s lawsuit is wording that would lead us to believe that he also has some evidence against Charlotte to prove otherwise. He claims to have dashcam footage of Charlotte being abusive toward police while making racist remarks. Needless to say, this could get messy.
Now there is an update as PW Insider reports that an extension has been granted to the Flairs and Shields on the case so they can prepare to respond fully to the lawsuit. This is a tactic often used by attorneys for a few reasons. Now they have until January 18th, 2019 to respond to the case.
We will keep you updated on this case as more information is revealed.
