Steve Austin will likely never wrestle another match in the pro wrestling ring, but we can dream, can’t we? His knees and neck probably can’t take a bump, although if I were a betting man he can be laying people out with Stone Cold Stunners for a very long time to come if he so chooses.
The Rattlesnake recently opened up on The Steve Austin Show about a couple WWE Superstars that he would like to face if given the chance. One was Brock Lesnar, which they are friends. Hopefully, Austin would trust Lesnar enough not to destroy him. But Austin also revealed that he wouldn’t mind walking with Elias either.

“If I was going to have another match, what current [WWE] Superstar would it be [against]? I don’t know, man. That’s a good question. Of course, I’m very good friends with Brock Lesnar, so I think it would be cool to work with Brock because I was suppose to all those years ago. Again, I’ve known Brock forever. We’re very good friends.”
“I also really think Elias is doing really, really well. And I’d like to work with that guy to elevate him. I think that he’s on his way to being a top guy. But Elias has been making more and more progress. The character work is coming around. The guitar work is great. Damn good hand in the ring. Great gimmick. He’s working baby now. Obviously, he’s kind of doing his thing, but skewed toward the baby side and I think that’s great because it’s kind of a cool gimmick. He was getting heat with it too, but he’s a very entertaining guy.”

For Austin to say that he wants to work with Lesnar and Elias is a very high praise for both men, especially Elias. As The Drifter’s character continues to grow on television, it will be interesting to see if Vince McMahon agrees with Austin so he continues to place Elias in more highlighted roles.
