Pro wrestling isn’t ballet, but neither is the MMA world, after all, those people are really out to hurt each other and make their opponents really submit. “Filthy” Tom Lawlor suffered a defeat against Deron Winn at the Chuck Liddell vs Tito Ortiz 3 pay-per-view, but it turns out he’ll have more to remember the fight by than just a loss.
PW Insider reports that word is Lawlor broke his hand during the MMA battle against Winn at Saturday’s pay-per-view. This not only gave Winn the win, but Filthy Tom is not hurting even more the next day.
Lawlor lost in a judges’ decision after three rounds of fighting. So he wasn’t knocked out, but if I were a betting man his injured hand didn’t help things at all. There is currently no word on how bad he’s hurt though.
Lawlor is currently signed to MLW, but it might be some time before he’s able to wrestle with his broken hand. But you can never put it past a guy like Filthy Tom to just wrestle in a cast.
