Daniel Bryan captured the WWE Championship from AJ Styles on the go-home show to Survivor Series but it looks like AJ Styles is going to get another chance for the title soon enough.
WWE announced during SmackDown Live tonight that Daniel Bryan will defend the WWE Championship against AJ Styles in San Jose on December 16th at the TLC pay-per-view event.
At this time the match has no official gimmick, but during a gimmick-match heavy PPV like TLC, anything is possible. It will be interesting to see which direction WWE goes with this match seeing how Daniel Bryan just re-signed a new WWE deal and AJ Styles’ current contract is set to run up at Mania.
But only time will tell who emerges from San Jose as WWE Champion. We will have to see because it will probably go on to affect way more down the line as we get closer to the Road To WrestleMania’s beginning.
