WWE Survivor Series had a kickoff show that didn’t count because SmackDown won, but for those who did pay attention, there was a spot where Kalisto went down and feigned knee injury so Gran Metalik could jump in the match and participate. But it turns out that WWE has figured out another way of making sure each member of the Lucha House Party stable is able to participate in a match.
“Lucha House Party” rules is now apparently a real thing where the three members of the stable, Kalisto, Gran Metalik, and Lince Dorado can swap out whenever they want. It’s not a Freebird Rule, it’s a Lucha House Party Rule and as Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE fans might need to get used to this gimmick stipulation.

“The way they did it makes it sound like that this is going to be a regular thing… but if it’s a regular thing for them then how come New Day and SAnitY don’t get 3 on 2’s then?”

Apparently, The Lucha House Party gets a pass when it comes to traditional tag team rules because they’re luchas. But for whatever reason they decided to let them change out members at their own whim, it seems by the way Michael Cole was talking about this tag team match set up that we could be getting way more of these matches down the line.
