It looks like WWE is planning a year ahead as they tend to do because although Survivor Series just happened last night, they already have a home for the big event next year.
WWE sent a release out stating that Chicago Illinois will play host to the 2019 Survivor Series event as well as NXT TakeOver, Raw, and SmackDown.
The events are scheduled to occur on the following dates:

  • Friday, November 22nd — SmackDown Live
  • Saturday, November 23rd — NXT TakeOver
  • Sunday, November 24th — 2019 Survivor Series
  • Monday, November 25th — Raw

Therefore, it appears that since SmackDown Live is going to be on Friday by the time the next Survivor Series rolls around, they will be holding the go-home SmackDown Live in the same building as the rest of the events.
It will be interesting to see if they keep with the trend of holding a big blue brand show before major pay-per-views like Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, and WrestleMania as well. But if I were a betting man this is a sneak peek in on how WWE plans on doing things with their new Fox TV deal which begins in October 2019.
