Tommaso Ciampa walked out of NXT TakeOver: WarGames with the NXT Title just like he walked in. Now he can continue clutching Goldy for even longer, and it looks like that is the plan too.
Dave Meltzer spoke about Ciampa’s NXT Title reigns on Wrestling Observer Radio where he revealed that Ciampa really can’t lose the title until Johnny Gargano gets another shot at the story as their two storylines are still very much intertwined even though they had separate opponents in the Staples Center.

“The whole storyline with Gargano and Ciampa is that Ciampa can’t lose the title. Because Gargano is a babyface but he’s a heel because he’s so obsessed with beating Ciampa for the title. Once Ciampa doesn’t have the championship there’s no reason for Gargano to be heel at all. So he’s got to keep the title and however it goes, it goes. How they get out of this storyline I have no idea. I mean I’m sure they can but that’s kinda like the whole idea behind it.”

Only time will tell what will happen next but if an NXT TakeOver: New York match is in the works for the two during WrestleMania weekend, fans could see a match on TakeOver that will top anything WWE has planned for Mania on the following night.
