Shayna Baszler walked into LA’s Staples Center as NXT Women’s Champion and she left the same after a 2 out of 3 falls match against Kairi Sane. Her Horsewomen buddies helped her secure a quick first fall and then the second went to Kairi Sane. Finally, Baszler was able to secure the victory in spite of the fact that Dakota Kai and Io Shirai ran down to assist Sane and even up the odds.
After her successful title defense, Baszler cut a backstage interview where she was more than happy about how NXT TakeOver: WarGames went down.

“Listen, I’m the most dominant woman that this division has ever seen. The only two-time defending champion. Ask me more about that and we can do these interviews.”

She said that she’s confident and nobody can stop them. She might very well be right because if I were a betting man NXT is setting Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, and Marina Shafir up for something pretty cool down the line.
