Heath Slater is more than just JBL’s real-life nephew because he’s been able to stick around WWE for the past 12 years making him one of the most experienced veterans on the roster.
Heath Slater sent out an Instagram picture from Survivor Series 2016 where he was heavily featured. He also included a caption that voiced frustration, but also left a lot of hope for improvement as he said it’s only up from here: “2 years ago Captain of Team @wwe #smackdown This Sunday #survivorseries NOTHING!!!!!!!!! Can’t even get a damn spot on the team. Only up from here.”
He then sent out a second Instagram post with another throwback image and a caption that didn’t include the previous optimism: “Ahhhhhh!!!! I’m frustrated as hell.. Just want to be apart of Survivor Series, damnIt… Come on now WWE. Let Me Entertain the people!!!”
As part of 3MB, Slater watched his partners Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre get released only to eventually come back and find great success. Mahal spent the better part of 2017 as WWE Champion and Drew is poised for a huge push on Raw. But Heath Slater can’t even get on the Survivor Series card and it sounds like he’s finished being quiet about not getting opportunities.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
