Braun Strowman seems to be in line to face for the Universal Championship eventually. But anything can happen in WWE. At this time, Strowman seems very content with hunting down acting Raw GM Baron Corbin and after making a deal with Stephanie McMahon that promises him a match against Baron where Braun gets to pick the stipulation before he gets another shot at Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title.
Strowman was set to battle Drew McIntyre at TLC and local advertisements even promoted the match as taking place at the December event in San Jose. But the promotions were recently changed to reflect a new opponent for Strowman in Baron Corbin.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Strowman’s matches at WWE live events down the line are being altered from facing Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler to bouts against Baron Corbin instead.
This will likely give Braun and Baron plenty of opportunities to work on whatever they might have planned at TLC between the Monster Among Men and The Lone Wolf. Only their encounter at a gimmick-heavy even such as TLC probably means their match in December is likely going to be much more violent.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
