Becky Lynch was pulled from her Survivor Series match against Ronda Rousey and the WWE Universe wasn’t happy about this at all. They were upset at a lot of things including timing, WWE’s strict medical clearance program, and Nia Jax… people are really mad at Nia Jax.
WWE kept announcing that Lynch suffered a “fractured face” or “broken face” because they interchanged the two terms. But as Dave Meltzer clarified on Wrestling Observer Radio, Lynch’s injury was slightly embellished on SmackDown Live, but the important part is that her concussion is very real.

“By the way, because a lot of people have asked about this and they kept saying, ‘Broken face’ — she has a broken nose. For whatever reason, they didn’t think broken nose sounded sexy enough even though that’s what the injury is, a broken nose and concussion.”
“The broken nose, she possibly could have worked with a broken nose. A concussion, she can’t work with.”

Therefore, it wasn’t Lynch’s entire face that was broken — just her nose. It would be nice to see Becky Lynch return to the ring as soon as possible. After all, as SmackDown Women’s Champion, she will want to be a fighting champ. But only time will tell how careful WWE is going to be with Lynch before allowing her to step back in the ring.
